The longest jail sentence passed was in the United States - 10,000 years for a triple murder. Dudley Wayne Kyzer was jailed for 10,000 years by a court in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in 1981 for murdering his wife. He was then sentenced to two life terms for murdering his mother-in-law and a college student.
In 1994 Oklahoma rapist Darron Bennalford Anderson received a 2,200-year jail sentence. When he appealed and won a new trial, he was convicted again and resentenced to more than 90 additional centuries behind bars - including 4,000 years each for rape and sodomy, 1,750 years for kidnapping, 1,000 years for burglary and robbery, and 500 years for grand larceny.
In July 1997, the state Court of Criminal Appeals held that the grand larceny charge was double jeopardy on the robbery conviction and thus dismissed it. So the court cut Anderson’s sentence by 500 years, speeding up his release date to the year 12,744!

Resolved Question: Question about Oklahoma law?
I work as a security guard for a homeless shelter in OK. I have recently learned though training that actions I take at work are unlawful. Example, A person walks in and I’m asked to search them. I have them place their bags on the counter and go though their belongings. Let’s say I find a can of beer and a knife. I confiscate both and then the person in question is usually gets barred ( thrown out for a fixed amount of time, sometimes permanently ). They DO NOT get their belongings back. I have committed an unlawful search by touching their belongings, an unlawful seizure by taking the items and not giving them the items back, and by not giving those items back committed what could be considered theft. My question revolves around the sign that is hanging in the doorway that states “No weapons or alcohol is allowed on property. Any items violating this rule will be confiscated and will become property of — (the place where I work)”. How much does this one sign protect me from being sued? Should I ask for a different post?

Voting Question: catering help in oklahoma?
alright, well i’m getting married in Tulsa, OK in Sept-for our reception all we want it vegetables, fruits, cheese, crackers, nuts, cupcake tower and cookie cake (possibly candy bar) but I’m not sure if we should have it catered or just do it ourselves.
